Colour Rendering & the High CRI Filter

Don’t forget that the Proteus Lucius fixture has a High CRI filter on the Fixed Colour Wheel.
This allows you to select and implement a boost in colour rendering from your DMX console within seconds. So for some TV and Film events you may need a higher CRI from the fixture, for these instances you can simply drop this High CRI filter into the beam and the fixture is primed for use on camera and will look great.
The use of a CRI filter or a fixture purposely engineered to have a high CRI value comes with the compromise of a reduced overall lumen output. That is why some manufacturers create two models of the same unit – A unit engineered for a high CRI value, but with that reduced output versus another model with average CRI but a normal full output.
At Elation, we don’t want you to have to choose between two models, we make one fixture with that boost in CRI available only when you need it. So if not using the filter your Lucius can maintain its full 33,500 lumen output!
