CMY color mixing only works when the fixture is set to Spot mode. Please check the Topic ‘Change from Beam to Spot mode’ to check how you can change the mode with your lighting console.

The Platinum FLX has got true CMY Color mixing with CMY flags for step less color mixing.
The CMY Flag module is included in the Optical System for Spot Mode. Therefore, CMY can only be used, while the Platinum FLX is operated in Spot Mode.
Little catch: Elation Professional has made the smallest beam angle for Spot mode just 1 degree more, than the smallest beam angle for Beam mode, which would be 2.9 degrees. 2.9 degrees is a perfect angle for a Beam look. Therefore, it’s possible to use CMY Color mixing with a very tight beam angle in the Platinum FLX.
