New into 2021, the DTW Blinder 350IP and 700IP have received a new revision of the firmware.

Version 1.2.0 brings a complete review of the DMX control and Dim-To-Warm colour and Intensity curves – offering better control, dimming and DTW performance for both units – you are encouraged to experiment and try all new options - As for example, the specific dimming mode or curve selection could suit some shows or environments better than others.

It offers 7 different DMX modes from a simple single channel intensity mode right up to a fully extended mode offering control of each cell and DTW capability, giving you versatility in control options.

Within the control channel (Standard and Extended modes only) or in the fixture menu the DTW capability can now be enabled or disabled – when enabled the Amber & White are controlled together to emulate the warming up of a tungsten fixture when the intensity is reduced. When disabled the Amber & White are independent.

Within the Dimmer modes channel (Standard and Extended modes only) a new ‘Tungsten’ mode is offered in addition to the other familiar modes (Stage, Theatre, Architectural, etc). This new Tungsten mode offers the best or ideal performance and is now the default curve for DMX modes that do not contain the Dim mode channel.

The Dimmer Curves (Linear, Square, S-Curve, etc) remain unchanged with this new software, but you are encouraged to use the S-Curve combined with the new DTW performance, as it gives the most natural feel of the Tungsten emulation or / DTW capability.

This new firmware can be installed on any 350IP or 700IP fixture - However new console libraries are required for whichever console you use.

New User Manuals and DMX traits are available on each product page on https://www.elationlighting.eu/ – the User Manual gives more information of the new software and its options.
